"Into the Jungle" Series: Part 2 (Stripe)

The story is steeped in an escapist desire to connect with the wilderness. The graphics are inspired by the bold paintings of Henri Rousseau, abundant with flora and fauna, with the rendering style also referencing Toile de Jouy.

 

Indeed, the qualities of the tiger itself motivated the artwork. For instance, the first print reflects the Tiger’s elusive nature: A glimmer in the distance, the rustling of grass, distant movement that catches the sun’s glow, was it a trick on the eye? And then, finally a sighting…
